Terms of Use

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Runnr. You accept them by using the app - and expressly when you create an account with Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. Tapping either button means you accept these terms and our privacy policy.

Apple's standard licence agreement for apps also applies: Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where the two conflict, the stricter of the two governs that point.

If you do not accept the terms, do not use Runnr.

2. Who may use Runnr

3. Safety while running - please read this one

Runnr suggests routes. Routes are calculated from map data, and map data is not reality.

4. Your account and your data

You are responsible for what happens on your account. If you lose access to the Apple or Google account you signed in with, you lose access to your Runnr account too. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete account.

5. What you post

You keep the rights to your own routes, texts and artwork. So that the app can display them, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reformat and distribute your content within Runnr and in marketing of Runnr. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies already shared by others and backups purged on our normal schedule.

You warrant that you are entitled to share what you share - including that you hold the rights to any images you upload and have consent from any people visible in them.

What may not be posted

In any form - route, figure, title, description, tag, username, bio, comment or profile picture:

How we enforce this

6. Runnart

Runnart turns a photo into a runnable figure. Only upload images you hold the rights to. Real logos and trademarks are not allowed. The service draws on a monthly quota shown in the app, and an attempt counts even if the result is not what you hoped for - the work has been done on the server.

7. Free and Premium

Right of withdrawal: as a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content. The right lapses once delivery has begun with your consent. App Store purchases are handled under Apple's rules, which you accept at the point of purchase.

8. How the app may not be used

9. Availability

We do not promise that Runnr is always available. We may change features, pause them or close them, and we may shut down the service with reasonable notice. If you hold a paid subscription when we permanently close a significant feature, you may cancel and ask Apple for a refund for the remaining period.

10. Disclaimer

Runnr is provided "as is". We do not warrant that routes are safe, accurate in distance, free of obstacles or fit for your purpose, and we do not warrant that the app is error-free or uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect loss, loss of business, loss of data and consequential damage. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for Runnr in the preceding 12 months.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence or intent, or your mandatory rights as a consumer under Danish law.

We are not responsible for content posted by other users, or for what happens when you run a route someone else has shared.

11. Intellectual property

Runnr, the name, the logo, the app's design, our own figures and the software belong to Runnr. Map data is provided by Apple Maps and is subject to Apple's terms. Route calculation is based on OpenStreetMap data, licensed under ODbL.

12. Termination

You may stop using Runnr and delete your account at any time. We may close your access if you breach these terms. The sections on liability, intellectual property and governing law survive termination.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes are announced in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Runnr after that, you have accepted the new terms. If you would rather not, you can delete your account.

14. Governing law and disputes

Danish law applies. Disputes are settled by the Danish courts. As a consumer you may complain to the Danish Centre for Complaint Resolution or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. You may always bring a case before the court where you live.
